Round Chilli, popularly known in Tamil as Gundu Milagai (குண்டு மிளகாய்), is a small, round, dark-red chilli widely used in South Indian cooking. It has a bold aroma, medium heat, and adds a rich, spicy flavor to curries, chutneys, and traditional tempering (tadka).
